BIO:As Dean of the Faculty, Professor Jing will oversee the development of the University’s strategic objectives in the Schools of Business, Computer Science, and Digital and Screen Media. As part of this, he will be responsible for building the depth and quality of the academic disciplines within the Faculty, enhancing its reputation regionally, nationally and internationally, and supporting ambitions for research excellence. Professor Jing is a Professor in Artificial Intelligence and Enterprise and has more than 20 years of experience in higher education, having started his career in China. Before joining Leeds Trinity University, Professor Jing was an Associate Dean (Enterprise and Innovation) at Coventry University, having held senior posts in the Faculty of Business and Law; Faculty of Engineering, Environment and Computing; and Faculty of Arts and Humanities. His prime research interests are artificial intelligence and big data. His recent research work focuses on the use of machine-learning methods to capture interaction and user behaviour patterns that can be used to develop intelligent applications. This has been applied in sports analytics, social networking and extra-care/assisted living settings. He is passionate about addressing digital skill shortages and workforce upskilling and is the founding programme director of the national Institute of Coding (IoC) at Coventry University, which aims to create a talent pipeline of appropriate digital skills from diverse backgrounds.

BIO: Ning Sun received the B.S. degree in measurement & control technology and instruments from Wuhan University, Wuhan, China, in 2009, and the Ph.D. degree in control theory and control engineering from Nankai University, Tianjin, China, in 2014. He is currently an IEEE Senior Member.

He is currently a Professor with the Institute of Robotics and Automatic Information Systems, Nankai University, Tianjin, China. He was awarded the prestigious Japan Society for the Promotion of Science (JSPS) Postdoctoral Fellowship for Research in Japan (Standard). His research interests include intelligent control for mechatronic/robotic systems with emphasis on (industrial) applications. Dr. Sun received the Wu Wenjun Artificial Intelligence Excellent Youth Award in 2019, the China 10 Scientific and Technological Developments in Intelligent Manufacturing (2nd achiever) in 2019, the First Class Prize of Wu Wenjun Artificial Intelligence Natural Science Award in 2017, the First Class Prize of Tianjin Natural Science Award in 2018, the Golden Patent Award of Tianjin in 2017, the IJCAS (International Journal of Control, Automation, and Systems) Academic Activity Award in 2018 and 2019, the Outstanding Ph.D. Dissertation Award from the Chinese Association of Automation (CAA) in 2016, etc.

BIO: Tang Liu received the B.S. degree in computer science from the University of Electronic Science and Technology of China, China, in 2003, and the M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in computer science from Sichuan University, in 2009 and 2015, respectively. He is currently a professor and Vice Dean at the College of Computer Science, Sichuan Normal University, Chengdu, China. From 2015 to 2016, he was a visiting scholar with the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, Lafayette, LA, USA. He has authored more than 30 scientific papers in several journals and conferences, including INFOCOM, IEEE TMC, IEEE/ACM TON, IEEE TWC, ACM TOSN and IPDPS. His research interests include wireless charging and wireless sensor networks.

BIOProf. Yuanchang Zhong served as an engineer of circuit design, Research Institute of Chongqing Huaguang Instrument factory during July 1988~1997. He served as the deputy director of the Experimental Teaching Center, and the main lecturer of the "National Electrical and Electronic Technology Teaching Team" of Chongqing University. He taught undergraduate courses "Basics of Circuit Analysis", "Electronic Technology", "Circuit Principles" and "Electronic Measurement Technology" , "System Engineering" , and graduate courses "Electromagnetic Compatibility Technology", "Multi-sensor Information Fusion Technology". Now, he served as Director of the Electronic Technology Experiment Center, College of Communication Engineering, Chongqing University, China. Currently, as the backbone of the academician’s research team of professor Yang Shizhong.
